One of the best tempura don ever. The soba was good too.
Mind the opening hours when you visit- only 11:30-14:00 everyday! The soba was sooooo delicious!
There is a bit of a wait - not too long about 10 minutes. I highly HIGHLY recommended cold soba. For me, the soba texture and doneness is much better in cold than hot. The tempura is very nice and crispy; although I think the batter is a little too thick. Honestly, I’d say get to cold soba - that’s it. It is so good you don’t need to protien!
Best soba I ever had
Soba is pretty good but it's just too super crowded....
One of the 2 eateries open in the area...Snowy cold wait outside but the boss (pictured) was excellent in managing the queue! ã‚ã‚ŠãŒã¨ã†ã”ã–ã„ã¾ã™ðŸ˜ŠNice Japanese interior too where you take off shoes and sit cross legged. Oyakodon was a bit on the sweet side and soba was alright, but so nice to have something hot in this -2 degree weather...
Very nice and cozy restaurant if you want to taste soba. Quite small room so I guess queuing is necessary at rush hour-lunch time. We seated at the kitchen counter, nice place to observe cookers while eating and drinking sake. Recommended.
Good taste of buckwheat noodle
Must try the cold soba!
Good service and good foods....
Food is good, and value for money. Still remember how big the shrimp was.😄
It tastes good and quite original. Price is reasonable. It queues long.
no idea is this is proper review, coz maybe i am not a soba lover, soba texture is so different compare to udon and ramen, udon and ramen is smooth but soba...i dont know ...it is weird, maybe it should be like this, not my kind of taste i suppose, FYI i didnt finish it...... but the rice set is good and the rice set come with a small bowl of soba, so this is a safe bet coz you still can taste the soba and the rice, rice is no doubt good, oh yeah by the way one of my travel mate order the duck meat noodle, avoid that by all cost, duck meat is hard AF, that bowl also cant finish
Cozy restaurant. Good dishes. Cold soba was sooo good.
Taste great and good price
Nice ebi (shrimp) tempura!
Had good food (rice & soba) here in this cozy restaurant! Thoughtful and friendly service. Would definitely recommend.
English menu and friendly staff, classic JPfood best place in town.
Cozy place. Friendly staffs. English menu is available. Yummy foods.
Had the ebi tempura with a small bowl of hot soba. Food was excellent, crunchy Ebi tempura on top of soy spiked fluffy rice. The soba was the piece de resistance, fire stroked soy soba soup with tangy soba noodles. Seating is limited, be prepared to wait, leave your name with the waiter to reserve your place.
Soba! Wonderful. Must try. Less seats. Opening hour very limited.
Nice soba and long queue. Must order. Tempura set taste normal (not bad). Soba is famous in Noboribetsu. Even in my hotel buffet is nice.
Delicious food! Cosy place, good price, food was all fresh and tasty. The opening times seemed to be ad hoc – it shut just after we left even though it wasn't late. Would recommend!
cold soba is good
One of the best tendon experiences we had in hokkaido. The restaurant tends to fill up fast so we went early at 11.30 am. Delicious flavorful batter on top of fluffy rice. I enjoyed it over the soba noodles as the broth made my crispy tempura soggy.
Small soba shop with tendon option. Might be the most popular restaurant in the area!
The best tempura and soba soup I’ve ever had! Open 11:30-14:00. Don’t miss it when you are there. Suggest to go there at opening hour in order to avoid the long wait.
Very nice Tendon and Zaru soba worth to que
Waited 30mins, totally worth it. Tempura don and cold soba.
Super convenient and affordable! Really yummy soba noodles! Try it! U will not regret it!
ç¦åºµ: their soba and Tempora are very good and the price are not expensive, Quality is good!!!!!!! The Lunch Set is worth to try!!!!!!
Buckwheat soba with tempura - heavenly! Be prepared to queue.
Fantastic ramen, really enjoyed this place, nice to drop into after a day of hiking/hot springs.
Soba & tempura is delicious!
This was one of the best ramen I have had so far. I had the chicken and leek ramen, the broth was amazing as it had so much flavour. Nothing is over 1500 yen, so the meals are cheap. There can be a queue on a busy day, they come to take your name and will call you when there is a seating available, so you could be waiting for a bit. When they call out your name, please wait around because if you are not they will remove from the waiting and you will have to ask to put your name down again.
Food is great, if you can get a table! I’m taking off a point for seating me on the floor, which my huge, old, gaijin legs weren’t really up to.
Soba simply done and super delicious
Tempura soba is very tasty 😋 cold soba is better taste than hot soba. Good to have English menu and English speaking staff here. Better to avoid the peak hour to come. Overall is very good ðŸ‘ðŸ»
Wonderful tasting soba, with rich tasting soup. However there is a queue so do get there early as they stop accepting orders by 1.45pm.
It's a popular restaurant near Hell Valley. Soba tasted great and the place is cozy. Very fresh and tasty flavours.
Cold noodle is good. Shrimp tempura is so fresh and 弹牙。waited almost 30min in the queue under raining cold day. Thanks Google map lead me to this place. The public onsen opposite this restaurant is famous for local Japanese and cheapest. 440 yen entrance fee only. Good quality of Onsen. 温泉éŠæ¹¯ 夢元(ゆもã¨) ã•ãŽã‚Šæ¹¯
Good but need something more to be very good.
Good place to stop by and have yummy soba noodles. They have limited vegetarian menu so beware of that otherwise its really nice traditional place to exp japanese culture.
Horrible service.Tons of Chinese tourist, which usually comes results in extremely poor service. The photos are extremely shopped, the place is actually a lot darker and older.Soba is ok, but highly overpriced for the quality. And with this service I will not recommend it to anyone to go. But there arent many high rated restaurant around and Ryokan dont include lunch? well I would rather buy cup ramen at 7-11 and enjoy it at my room. Yep it is that bad.
Soba is fresh. The combination of radish, bonito flakes and wasabi (yes, wasabi! But you need to add it in yourself) is perfect. Ebi feels a bit floury though, but is generally alright.
Ordered the cold soba with tempura (1,300 yen) and it was 5 stars!!! Went at 1pm, there was no queue but it got pretty crowded shortly after. Tempura exceeded my expectations and soba was good as well. Recommended.
Cold wheat noodle soba is nice as well as the shrimp tempura rice at 980yen
Nice cold soba. Sometimes has long waiting list.
Very tasty soba restaurant with friendly service. It's right across the tourist info centre and 2 min walk from the bus stop.
Ordered the chicken and leeks hot soba and was not disappointed. Authentic, well priced Japanese noodle place. Went for lunch and missed the rush - there was a queue outside when we left - and for good reason. Staff were friendly, all made fresh to order.
